Booking Instructions
- Exclusive Partner Rates:
The listed hotels are official partners of Tongji University, offering special corporate rates only available through this form. Direct bookings will not qualify for these discounts.
- Payment Responsibility:
- We will provisionally reserve your room with the hotel based on your submission, but payment is required upon check-in by yourself.
- Ensure all information (name, passport number, dates) is accurate to avoid issues at check-in.
- Multiple Bookings:
Submit a separate form for each attendee if reserving rooms for multiple people.
- Non-Partner Hotels:
If none of these hotels meet your needs, you may book elsewhere independently
- Deadline & Process:
- Submission will be end by May 20.

- Entry Inspection Procedures
Upon arrival in China, all travelers will undergo standard entry inspection. Please ensure your passport and visa (if applicable) are readily available for review. First-time visitors may be required to submit fingerprints and declare items in their possession.
- Currency Exchange
While mobile payment is widely used in China, we recommend bringing a small amount of local currency (RMB) for initial expenses. Currency exchange counters and ATMs are available at the airports.
- Essential Mobile Applications
Please be aware that certain Western mobile apps and services may not function properly in mainland China. We strongly advise downloading and testing a reliable VPN prior to your departure. In addition, the following Chinese apps are recommended:
- WeChat: Messaging, social media, and mobile payment
- Alipay: Mobile payment
- Amap (Gaode): Navigation
- Didi: Ride-hailing service
- Mobile Payments
WeChat Pay and Alipay are the primary mobile payment platforms in China. After downloading the apps, complete identity verification and link a bank card (Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, or Discover are supported) to enable usage.
- Internet and Mobile Connectivity
To use international roaming in China, please activate the service with your mobile provider prior to departure. If needed, Chinese SIM cards can be purchased at airport service centers or from local telecom providers such as China Mobile and China Telecom with your passport.
- Power Supply
Please note that China uses different plug types and voltage standards (typically Type A or I plugs at 220V). It is advisable to bring a universal power adapter for your electronic devices.
